Arch Oboler, versions of Lights Out aired on different networks, at various times, from Januto the summer of 1947 and the series eventually made. After Pearl Harbor, Oboler was able to realize his goal of writing anti-Fascist plays and created the new series Plays for Americans, weekly stories laced with wartime propaganda, starring James Stewart, Bette Davis, and others. When the fourth and fifth women are to be executed, the German Captain realizes they all look the same. During the execution, the soldiers noticed that all the women they're hanging acts weirdly. It ran until 1947 and was one of Old Time Radios most beloved horror shows, famous for its grisly sound effects. It was created by Willis Cooper who in 1939 would write the screenplay for the Boris Karloff vehicle Son of Frankenstein. The show was created by Wyllis Cooper (1899-1955) in 1934, who then turned it over to Arch Oboler (1909-1987) in 1936. Lights Out (1934-1947) was perhaps the premiere horror show of the 1930s and 40s. He generated much attention with his radio scripts, particularly the horror series Lights Out, and his work in radio remains the outstanding period of his career. In retaliation, the Germans will hang 50 women unless the suspect comes forward. Lights Out aired 'Come to the Bank' on November 17, 1942.
